Small  (Haiku)

the tender green bud,

so fragile; but mercy makes

its life break through rocks.

A Better Kind of Madness is a poetry book about justice, the effects of injustice, our search for truth and meaning in the world around us ... the simple things in life that we overlook, as well as the ugly things in life that we overlook by growing so accustomed to them.

If insanity is what we must

live with and accept,

then may God help us all

to find a better  kind of madness.

Oasis

love, a murky pool of

quicksand, sits grinning

concealed beneath

the oasis of a pure

serene lake,

waiting for the

spellbound to jump in.

S-sense

a fire called spirit

burns high

in snapping brilliance,

curls in layers

of flickers within shadows,

or warm smolders

that pierce through

walls of matter,

always fluid, soaring,

a fire called spirit

never extinguished—

no never.
